Derbachile aschei was named by Emeljanov and Shcherbakov (2020). Its type specimen is PIN 5608/123a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (PIN collection 5608), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
