Taxonomy
Villetus grandis was named by Harrison and Walker (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Highcliffe, which is in a Bartonian/Priabonian marine marl in the Barton Beds Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Villetus.
