Prestwichianella rotundata

Taxonomy
Limulus rotundatus was named by Prestwich (1840). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coalbrook Dale (White Flatstone Measures, Prestwich collection), which is in a Westphalian B interdistributary bay mudstone in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Steropis rotundus by Baily (1858); it was recombined as Belinurus rotundus by Baily (1863); it was recombined as Prestwichia rotundata by Woodward (1867); it was recombined as Euproops rotundatus by Filipiak and Krawczyński (1996), Anderson et al. (1997); it was recombined as Prestwichianella rotundata by Woodward (1918), Dix and Pringle (1929), Raymond (1944), Lamsdell (2020).
