Keuperlimulus vicensis
Taxonomy
Limulus vicensis was named by Bleicher (1897). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vic-sur-Seille, which is in a Norian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Marnes irisées supérieures Formation of France.
It was considered an invalid subgroup of Limulitella by Lamsdell (2016); it was recombined as Keuperlimulus vicensis by Lamsdell (2020); it was recombined as Limulitella vicensis by Hauschke and Wilde (1987), Bicknell et al. (2021).
