Taxonomy
Turnipax dissipata was named by Mayr (2000). Its type specimen is SMF Av 427, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Luberon, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine carbonate in France. It is the type species of Turnipax.
