Stilpnocephalus pontebbanus
Taxonomy
Stilpnocephalus pontebbanus was named by Selden et al. (2019). Its type specimen is MPT18062301, a carapace, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Rio degli Uccelli, which is in a Kasimovian fluvial-deltaic sandstone in the Meledis Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Stilpnocephalus.
