Limulitella henkeli
Taxonomy
Limulus henkelii was named by Fritsch (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Between Schulpforta and Kösen, which is in a Bithynian carbonate limestone in the Jena Formation of Germany.
It was considered an invalid subgroup of Limulus by Lamsdell (2016); it was recombined as Yunnanolimulus henkeli by Lamsdell (2020); it was recombined as Limulitella henkeli by Bicknell et al. (2021).
