Taxonomy
Morrisonnepa jurassica was named by Lara et al. (2020). Its type specimen is FHPR 17299, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Jurassic Salad Bar (Sa1212p), which is in a Tithonian lacustrine - small shale in the Morrison Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Morrisonnepa.
