Taxonomy
Pentacarinus kachinensis was named by Luo and Bourgoin (2021). Its type specimen is NWAFU HO221992, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Northwest A&F University collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Pentacarinus.
