Brachypsalis obliquidens
Taxonomy
Brachypsalis obliquidens was named by Sinclair (1915). Its type specimen is PU 12070, a mandible (left ramus of the lower jaw with p--my and alveoli of the canine and first premolar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Princeton Loc. 1000C, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Olcott Formation of Nebraska.
It was synonymized subjectively with Brachypsalis pristinus by Webb (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Lutra pristina by Skinner et al. (1977).
