Piesbergopterum punctatum
Taxonomy
Piesbergopterum punctatum was named by Dvořák et al. (2021). Its type specimen is Museum am Schölerberg Pal 1389, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Piesberg quarry, "Flöz Zweibänke" (Museum am Schölerberg coll), which is in a Westphalian C/Westphalian D lacustrine deltaic claystone in the Flöz Zweibänke Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Piesbergopterum.
