Taxonomy
Pompilopterus ryonsangensis was named by So and Won (2021). Its type specimen is CKGP 20200726-D, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ryonsang-dong, Sinuiju City, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Sinuiju Formation of North Korea.
