Pteroporus antiquus
Taxonomy
Hydroporus antiquus was named by Heer (1862). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (Bruckmann collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Pteroporus.
It was recombined as Pteroporus antiquus by Nilsson (2001).
