It was synonymized subjectively with Metopiinae by Wahl (2014); it was reranked as the tribe Exochini by Klopfstein and Spasojevic (2019).

It was assigned to Ichneumonoidea by Förster (1869); and to Metopiinae by Klopfstein and Spasojevic (2019).
