Taxonomy
Boswellioxylon indicum was named by Dayal (1964). It is not extant. Its type locality is Keria, Chhindwara, which is in a Paleogene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India. It is the type species of Boswellioxylon.
