Kochina americana
Taxonomy
Olenopsis americanus was named by Walcott (1912). Its type specimen is USNM 58368-71 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 4V. Gordon Creek, 9.6 km from the South Fork of Flathead River, which is in a Delamaran marine shale in the Gordon Shale Formation of Montana.
It was recombined as Kochina americanus by Resser (1935); it was recombined as Kochina americana by Sundberg (2004).
