Taxonomy
Sthenarocalymene scutula was named by Holloway (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trilobites of the St Clair Limestone, Arkansas, which is in a Wenlock deep subtidal ramp grainstone/lime mudstone in the St. Clair Limestone Formation of Arkansas.
It was recombined as Gravicalymene scutula by Smith and Ebach (2020).
