Taxonomy
Archaeopolycentra longesilentia was named by Melnitsky and Ivanov (2022). Its type specimen is PIN 3426/223, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr Amber, Nizhnyaya Agapa River (PIN collection 3426), which is in a Cenomanian fluvial amber in the Dolgan Formation of the Russian Federation.
