Taxonomy
Mesoserphites annulus was named by Herbert and McKellar (2021). Its type specimen is RSKM P3306.60, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (RSM collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Mesoserphites.
