Taxonomy
Saltissus fennahi was named by Luo et al. (2021). Its type specimen is BMB 014919/NHMUK In. 64637, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Smokejacks Brickworks, which is in a Barremian pond claystone/siltstone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
