Taxonomy
Beloscyta edi was named by Shcherbakov (2022). Its type specimen is PIN 5006/17, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Yamaan-Us (PIN collection 5006), which is in a Changhsingian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Yamaan Us Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Beloscyta.
