Taxonomy
Handapaphyllum indicum was named by Chandra and Singh (1988). It is not extant. Its type locality is Hinjirida, which is in a Lopingian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Kamthi Formation of India. It is the type species of Handapaphyllum.
