Taxonomy
Karooprosbole magnifica was named by Nel and Prevec (2023). Its type specimen is AM14858, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Onder Karoo, near Sutherland, which is in a Wordian delta plain mudstone in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Karooprosbole.
