Taxonomy
Howellictis valentini was named by de Bonis et al. (2009). Its type specimen is TM 192-01-02, a skull (Undistorted skull whose canine roots are preserved with left P4-M1 and fragment of right P4. The pterygoids are partially present, as are the two auditory bulla), and it is a 3D body fossil.
