Synhomalonotus sulcatus was named by Kolobova in Sokolov and Yolkin (1978). It is not extant.
It was recombined as Sarrabesia sulcatus by Hammann and Leone (1997); it was recombined as Vietnamia sulcatus by Hammann (1983), Turvey (2005).
