Taxonomy
Electroderaeous crassicornis was named by Taszakowski and Kim (2023). Its type specimen is MCFB 865, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber, La Cumbre (MCFB collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic. It is the type species of Electroderaeous.
