Schismiscapus exstinctum
Taxonomy
Schismiscapus exstinctum was named by Varela-Hernández et al. (2022). Its type specimen is CPAL.447, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is La Pimienta, Simojovel (Mexican amber, CPAL-UAEM collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico. It is the type species of Schismiscapus.
