Aceratherium perimense
Taxonomy
Rhinoceros perimensis was named by Falconer and Cautley (1847). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Perim Island, which is in a Tortonian terrestrial horizon in the Piram Conglomerate Formation of India.
It was recombined as Acerotherium perimense by Lydekker (1876); it was recombined as Aceratherium perimense by Prasad (1974).
