Taxonomy
Allenbycimbex morrisae was named by Archibald and Rasnitsyn (2023). Its type specimen is RBCM.EH2007.002.0001, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Allenby (RBCM collection), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine horizon in the Allenby Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Allenbycimbex.
