Taxonomy
Leptostigma longitenebricum was named by Archibald and Rasnitsyn (2023). Its type specimen is TRU F-1565, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is McAbee (University College of the Cariboo TRU coll), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada.
