Taxonomy
Leptostigma fasciatum was named by Archibald and Rasnitsyn (2023). Its type specimen is GSC 142843, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is GSC V-016800, McAbee, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada.
