Valenictus sheperdi
Taxonomy
Valenictus sheperdi was named by Boessenecker et al. (2024). Its type specimen is UCMP 219091, a skull (nearly complete cranium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Capitola 2, which is in a Zanclean marine sandstone in the Purisima Formation of California.
