Taxonomy
Megacoxa synchrotron was named by Brazidec et al. (2024). Its type specimen is PMJ CASENT0753237, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (PMJ collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
