Taxonomy
Burmogerris rarus was named by Fu et al. (2024). Its type specimen is NIGP201886, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Burmogerris.
