Taxonomy
Cativolcus uebruum was named by Szwedo (2024). Its type specimen is BE-RBINS-ENT-AMBER-IG-34605, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Belgian amber, Orp-le-Grand, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial amber in the Tienen Formation of Belgium. It is the type species of Cativolcus.
