Taxonomy
Brownimecia inconspicua was named by Sosiak et al. (2024). Its type specimen is AMNH-NC-MSE-1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Neuse River amber, which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in North Carolina.
