Taxonomy
Mesopsyche tortiva was named by Novokshonov and Sukacheva (2001). Its type specimen is PIN 2785/4052, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Madygen, PIN collection 2785, Dzhailoucho area, which is in a Ladinian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
It was recombined as Turbidapsyche tortiva by Lian and Huang (2024).
