Hoplophoneus villebramarensis
Taxonomy
Eusmilus villebramarensis was named by Peigné and Brunet (2001). Its type specimen is FSP-VIL-26-1972, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Villebramar, which is in a MP 22 terrestrial horizon in France.
It was recombined as Hoplophoneus villebramarensis by Barrett and Hopkins (2024).
