Pudrica christianottoi was named by Drohojowska and Szwedo (2024). Its type specimen is GPIH 5083, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Lusatian lignite amber, Wanninchen, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
