Taxonomy
Scytinoptera minusculata was named by Hakim and Fu (2024). Its type specimen is NIGP205891, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Qishuihe outcrop, Hejiafang, Jinsuoguan Town, Tongchuan City, which is in a Longobardian lacustrine mudstone in the Yanchang Formation of China.
