Eotemnothorax odontos was named by Radchenko (2024). Its type specimen is LIB 4943, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (Gröhn collection, GPIH), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
