Taxonomy
Kuhnastraea rara was named by Punina (2024). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mount Sakharnaya, sample 60, which is in an Alaunian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Tetyukhe Formation of the Russian Federation.
