Taxonomy
Lithocardium granuligerum was named by Cossmann and Pissarro (1904). It is not extant. Its type locality is Hauteville (Pissarro collection), which is in a Lutetian carbonate carbonate in France.
It was recombined as Avicularium granuligerum by Harzhauser et al. (2008).
