Taxonomy
Lithocardium erroris was named by Oppenheim (1901). It is not extant. Its type locality is Fontanella of Grancona, which is in a Priabonian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Avicularium erroris by Harzhauser et al. (2008).
