Taxonomy
Baladi warru was named by Rodriguez et al. (2024). Its type specimen is AM F.145093, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is McGraths Flat, which is in a Miocene pond siderite in Australia. It is the type species of Baladi.
