Taxonomy
Pterocephalia constricta was named by Palmer (1968). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 4381-CO - Jones Ridge Limestone, Jones Ridge-Squaw Mountain area, which is in a Dresbachian carbonate limestone in the Jones Ridge Limestone Formation of Alaska.
