Cylindrical vascular system with many rings of manoxylic secondary xylem and phloem containing uni- to multiseriate rays, and centripetal vascular bundles adjacent to the innermost ring. Parenchymatous cortex with mucilage canals, idioblasts and girdling leaf traces in cortex. |
