Taxonomy
Wintucycas beatrizae was named by Martínez et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MOZ–PB 567, a wood, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pichaihue (PI) - Paleobotany, which is in a Danian coastal shale/siltstone in the Pichaihue Limestone Formation of Argentina.
