Taxonomy
Dactylastrea subramosa was named by d'Orbigny (1850). Its type specimen is syntype MNHN.F.R09339, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Microsolena subramosa by de Fromentel (1861).
