Taxonomy

Anemorhysis was named by Gazin (1958). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Tetoniina by Szalay (1976); to Omomyidae by Gazin (1958), McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Anaptomorphini by Gunnell and Rose (2002).

Synonyms

Uintalacus was named by Gazin (1958). It is not extant. Its type is Uintalacus nettingi.

It was synonymized subjectively with Anemorhysis by Szalay (1976), Bown and Rose (1987).

It was assigned to Omomyidae by Gazin (1958), McKenna and Bell (1997).
Tetonoides was named by Gazin (1962). It is not extant. Its type is Tetonoides pearcei.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tetonius by Delson (1971); it was synonymized subjectively with Anemorhysis by Bown (1974), Szalay (1976), Szalay (1982), Bown and Rose (1984), Bown and Rose (1987), Bown and Rose (1991), Rose et al. (1994), Rose (1995).
Uintalacus nettingi was named by Gazin (1958). Its type specimen is C.M. No. 9426, a mandible (left ramus of mandible with P4-M2 and part of M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Powder Wash (Lower), which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Green River Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Uintalacus.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Szalay (1976), Bown and Rose (1987).
